Came across this interesting video that features an ensemble cast from Bollywood. It seems, from the red ribbon, that it's some kind of AIDS benefit. Could the readers in India enlighten us?
I saw this on B4U Music and thought the exact same thing...We are the World. I didn't get what it was about though, I was too busy trying to figure out why all these stars got together to lip sync in one video.
The video was put together by the BBC World Service Trust, as you kids guessed it an HIV awareness raising campiagn. The Richard Gere Foundation also has an extensive project here working with Bollywood as well as TV to increase the positive protrayal of HIV as well as overall education in media.
Yea I saw the campaign kick on national tv (here in india). I remember Shilpa Shetty say the cause was very close to her heart since her movie Phir Milenge etc...

holy cow! haven't seen that woman in ages!
chic mommy: confirmed that it's indeed an AIDS benefit.
sapna: yup - that's her. WR was in Rang de Basanti - playing the streotypical mom.

'haath se haath milao' means - lets bring our hands together...meaning lets work together to fight aids
