Thanks for all the encouragement. Nina & I are bonding just great. It's a lot of work but SO rewarding when she rests her chin on your leg and looks at you with those cute puppy dog eyes.

anon1: yes - this one's for keeps though. She's the sweetest, prettiest, friendliest dog ever. Nina was suggested by a friend. Makes it more personal.
anon2: LOL. Have you seen the movie Gremlins? When she lies on her back with ears flopped open, she looks just like one! The cute, pre-metamorphosis kind.
chic_mommy: Yeah - it's almost like raising a baby. After 4 days, it doesn't seem as icky anymore. Now the high point in my day is when she goes on the grass outside.
